Sherard Hearing Aid Center in Scottsbluff opened in 1955 as a branch of the Cheyenne Hearing Aid Center by Floyd Sherard, Sr.. Floyd and his wife, Virginia, ran the Scottsbluff office until 1975 when they hired away their son, Stan, from Motorola Communications in California. Stan moved his family to California to work on the Apollo Space program prior to Motorola in the mid 1960’s. Witnessing the Electron Innovations during that era fueled his desire to seek out and acquire the most advanced products in the hearing aid industry and usher the hearing impaired in Nebraska and Wyoming into the 21st century.
